Bungalow in the west
A bungalow on the west coast of Ireland was redesigned to improve the internal living spaces. The original design of the house was badly thought out resulting in cramped and dark spaces which did not take advantage of either the orientation of the house or the tranquil spaces outside.
The living, dining and kitchen areas were reconfigured by removing the divisions and adding a well-designed glass-walled extension. This was incorporated into the look of the house by use of a new pitched roof.
Triple glazed windows; high levels of floor, wall and roof insulation; and, a new condensing boiler with zoned heating, will ensure the new living space is comfortable in all seasons.
